Why is it that the most profound statements are the simplest facts of life? Is it because we refuse to see the simple things in life? Do we really need neon lettering and spiritual gurus to tell us to recognize the person inside us? I think if we are truly happy, everyone around us (at least the ones that matter) will be happy for us too. No matter what.

Now if only everyone thought like you.
I will go with the fact that we do not take out time for ourselves, to think about ourselves and to realise what things we have and what things we cherish. Mostly we are always keeping ourselves busy with housework or shopping or officework and so on. Ultimately when we take time out to read book with (as u say) neon lettering, we realise these simple facts of life.
